Jonathan P. Bourlier has been servicing the Southside Virginia community for years. Being born and raised in the community, Bourlier has a deep dedication to helping those in need within the surrounding areas of Prince George, Dinwiddie, Hopewell, Colonial Heights, Petersburg, Chesterfield and Sussex.
With an empathetic approach to all his cases and years of experience, Mr. Bourlier specializes in the areas of criminal law, personal injury, will and estate planning, real estate law, civil litigation and family law.
Education & Experience
Mr. Bourlier’s education and training began in Richmond, Virginia where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University. He continued his career at the Liberty University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor.
Following his graduation from Liberty University’s School of Law, Bourlier served as a trial lawyer with the Law Offices of David L. Cloninger from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, Bourlier moved up as a partner with Cloninger & Bourlier, PLLC for nearly five years with a focus on real estate and family law. In 2019, Bourlier became the managing attorney for the Law Office of Jonathan P. Bourlier with a focus on putting people first.

Jonathan P. Bourlier maintains membership within the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Prince George Bar Association, City of Petersburg Bar, City of Hopewell Bar and currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Dinwiddie Airport & Industrial Authority.
Mr. Bourlier is certified to practice law under the Supreme Court of Virginia, Court of Appeals of Virginia and all Virginia Trial courts. He is certified with the Hopewell Bar Association, Petersburg Bar Association, Prince George Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association, Virginia State Bar and Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.
When he’s not practicing law, Mr. Bourlier enjoys spending time with his wife, Amber, and his five children; Kolbee, Oaklee, Finlee, Paislee and Atticus. Community-oriented, Jonathan spends his free time involved in youth sports ranging between baseball and football to wrestling.
